This privacy notice (this Notice/Policy) explains to you how we collect, store, use, disclose and transfer (“process”) in connection with your use of our websites and social media pages linking to this Policy, your interactions with us in our events, as well as other offline sales and marketing activities, and your access to and use of our GNSS positioning, RTK/PPP-RTK correction and other high-precision positioning and correction services, including such services integrated into third-party devices, applications or products (collectively, the “Positioning Services”). Some apps may have a more specific privacy policy.

This Policy also applies to the service accounts, credentials and identifiers used to access or manage the Positioning Services, including, as applicable, NTRIP accounts, service instance identifiers, application identifiers and device service identifiers (collectively, “Service Accounts”).

Therefore, you are advised to read the following Policy carefully before visiting this Website, and/or contacting us via the email. We will process your Personal Data (as defined below) in connection with this Policy and collect your Personal Data only to the extent necessary for handling the affairs between you and us. Our websites are not intended for minors (persons under the age of 18).

3. Cross-border Data Transfer

We operate our Website from China. Our servers supporting the Website are based in China. If you access our websites outside China, please be aware that your Personel Data may be tranferered to, stored and processed by us in other countries.

For our Positioning Services provided to users outside China, Service Account data used to access and manage the Positioning Services is stored on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany.

Depending on the Positioning Service used and the technical support required, certain Personal Data may be accessed or otherwise processed by our Affiliates or service providers located outside the country in which you are located, including China. Where such transfer constitutes an international transfer of Personal Data, we will implement appropriate safeguards as required by applicable data protection laws.

If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, please note that China does not have the same level of data protection as the above countries and authorities may have access to your Personal Data under different conditions.

Whenever we send or transfer your personal information abroad (outside the EU), we will comply with relevant laws and regulations.

 

4. Sensitive Information

We will never ask you to provide any sensitive information via email, such as credit card number, bank account number, etc. Any request for such information is an act of “phishing”, a deceptive attempt to steal Personal Data, and you shall never respond to any such request. It is recommended that you update your email settings to block the sources of such emails.

 

5. Security and Retention Period

We undertake to maintain the security and confidentiality of your Personal Data in the collection and storage thereof. We will use appropriate and reasonable means to protect the security of your Personal Data, to avoid unauthorized access to or use of your Personal Data, to prevent unauthorized computers from accessing or disclosing your Personal Data, and to ensure that any third party that has received your Personal Data abide by standards equivalent to those applicable to us. However, the Internet is not a secure environment and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Data you send to this Website.

For the Positioning Services, we retain Service Account data and service-related logs only for as long as necessary to provide, administer, secure and support the Positioning Services, to comply with applicable legal obligations, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Where retention periods are prescribed by applicable law or agreed with our customers, we will retain such data in accordance with those requirements.
